Valerie Anne Bertinelli is an American actor. Her birth date was April 23, 1960 [2. The actress first gained recognition at the age of adolescence when she played Barbara Cooper Royer on the sitcom One Day at a Time (1975-1984) in which she took home two Golden Globe Awards for Best Supporting Actress for a Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She then became an established adult actor, she appeared in Gloria in Touched by an Angel (2002) and Melanie Moretti in Hot in Cleveland (2010) in the latter earned her nominations to the Screen Actors Guild Award. She was given a Hollywood Walk of Fame star in 2012. Bertinelli has hosted a variety of shows on Food Network, such as the cooking show Valerie's Home Cooking (2015-2023) as well as Kids Baking Championship (2015-present) which won 2 Daytime Emmy Awards for the first show out of six nominations. Bertinelli's new contract was signed with Food Network on December 20, 2021. Bertinelli married rocker Eddie Van Halen between 1981 and 2007. They had one child with him, Wolfgang.
